For 7 years we've published Footnotes, our monthly studio newsletter, as well as noting our studio happenings each month right here
on our News web page. Well, with a New Year comes some new technology for Footsteps which enables us to make Footnotes more
accessible, interactive, and share-able with family & friends! By clicking the frog below, you'll be taken to our new News Hub, where
you can learn about all of the fun at Footsteps this month. Just open whatever issue of Footnotes you'd like, starting with January
2012, and all of our latest news will magically appear!
No more bulky attachments cluttering up your email or inconvenient links to follow to get to the news that affects your family--now the
newsletter goes directly into your inbox, so when you open it, BAM! There it is!
No more clicking links to our website or scrolling up & down to find the info you want--now there's a table of contents at the top of the

| Winter weather is definitely upon us, so if we are forced to cancel classes, it'll be published right here on our News page, as well as on our Facebook page and our outgoing voicemail message. For morning classes, if Olentangy Schools are closed, Footsteps will be also. Otherwise, we will make a decision and publish it by 8:30 am for morning classes, and 2:30 pm for afternoon/evening classes. If your class gets cancelled, please ask in the office for appropriate make-up times. |

| Dress Rehearsal Audition Results |
This year we upped the anty for our competition dancers at our annual Company dress rehearsal: They not only practiced their
dances in full costume, hair, & makeup onstage at Ohio Wesleyan's Chappelear Drama Center, but they were also auditioning for
admission to our first competition of the season, Onstage NY, next month. In addition, our understudies were auditioning for full
membership positions in the Company. Big day for our Company kids!
We spent 9 hours at the theater perfecting our pieces, which were judged by our fellow competition staff; the instructor who coached
the piece was not given a vote. With 5 teachers judging, a majority of 3 votes was required to pass the audition & receive permission
to perform at Onstage NY. A few of the dances need a bit more time to get fully polished, but all will be attending our 2nd & 3rd
competitions. We are proud of everyone's progress thus far this year!
The instructors will review both the videos of the judged performances as well as the comments from their fellow teachers in
classes/SDT's in the coming week or 2. Dress rehearsal definitely gave the coaches some perspective, which will only help us focus
our efforts over the next 5 weeks till competition season kicks off.
At Footsteps, we are proud of our dancers as well as our instructors, who are not only skilled teachers, but who are also talented
choreographers. Way to go, Footsteppers!
Oh, and congratulations to all 3 of our understudies--you were all unanimously voted into full membership! Woo-hoo!
