| Ongoing Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, & Tap |
Experienced dancers who are serious about advancing to the next level of tap, ballet, jazz, or hip hop may
continue to hone their skills in our ongoing classes over the summer. Beginner-Advanced classes are available;
levels may be combined for summer.
For ballet, Emerald-Onyx (intermediate-advanced) level dancers must take both a ballet class in their appropriate
level and a ballet conditioning class.
Company dancers will receive info in Spring about Company summer class requirements.
Recreational dancers may take 2-6 weeks of classes, June 20-August 4 (no classes July 4 or 26-29)
Attire: Please refer to our "About Us" page for our dress code.
Tuition: is charged in advance by the number of classes you will attend this summer, up to 6 classes: 30-min
classes--$11/class; 45-min classes--$12/class; 60-min classes--$14/class; $10 non-refundable registration fee

Tuition:
Summer tuition must be paid in full, plus the $10 per-student registration fee if applicable (no reg fee for
Creative Arts Experiences), upon registration for summer classes. Summer registration fees & tuition are non-
refundable. All summer registration fees apply to fall if you register for fall classes before October 1, 2011.
Should multiple family members wish to enjoy summer classes at Footsteps, or should one dancer wish to
take multiple classes, we offer the following discounts:
payment by the week--you only pay for the weeks of classes you are taking. Please note that this policy only
applies to summer classes! There are no refunds for days missed from any summer program. All tuition and
registration fees are paid in advance.
Registration:
To register for any of Footsteps' summer programs, please choose one of the following 4 options:
Payment methods that Footsteps accepts are cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, & Discover. Checks should be
made payable to "Footsteps." We also accept Paypal payments; just use the Paypal button on our Downloads
page! You do not need a Paypal account to take advantage of this convenient, secure payment method.
All registrants will receive info about participating in the Orange Twp July 4th Parade. We'd love to have you
join us to represent Footsteps Family Dance Center to our community, pass out candy & trinkets to onlookers,
and have a good time with your classmates on Independence Day! Both students & their parents are invited to
participate.
For those who wish to remain a part of the Footsteps family for our 2011-12 season, you may want to take
advantage of Early-Bird Fall Registration, which runs May 1-July 18. Early-Birds who register May 1-June 4
receive $10 off their registration fee, plus first-pick of days and times for fall classes! Early-Birds who register
June 5-July 18 receive $5 off their registration fee, plus early-pick of days & times for fall classes. Again, your
summer registration fees apply to fall, too.

Form. Payment must be made either by credit card or Paypal with this option.
2. Mail: Visit our "Downloads" page, print and completely fill out the appropriate forms, and mail them plus
payment in full to.....

3. Stop in during business hours, Monday-Thursday 4-9 pm, Tuesday 10-11:30 am, or Friday 9:30-10:45
am, to tour the facility, ask questions, watch classes, and fill out your paperwork. All forms must be
completed for a student to be registered for summer classes.
- 4. Call us at 614-883-5599 to register over the phone with your credit card. All forms will need to be
signed the first day of class before your student will be permitted to dance, though!

Genesis 3: Ballet-based class for boys & girls who are 3 years old by June 20, and preferably potty-trained.
They'll have so much fun using their imaginations that they won't realize they're learning correct French
terminology & foundational dance technique! Classes are 30 min, once a week.
Genesis 4-6 Combos: Your choice of either 30 min of ballet and 30 min of hip hop, or 30 min of ballet and 30
min of tap for boys & girls ages 4-6 by June 20. The magic of ballet and either the funk of hip hop or the catchy
rhythms of tap make these classes a blast while we teach youngsters proper French ballet terminology &
technique, correct street dance moves from various hip hop forms like break dance, popping, step, and more, or
age-appropriate classic tap skills. Classes are 60 min, once a week.
Attire: Princesses should wear dance clothes: either a leotard & separate skirt or a dance dress (leotard w/skirt
attached); if you intend to enroll at Footsteps in the fall, we recommend that you purchase the dress code color
for your dancer's fall class so you don't waste your hard-earned dollars! 3 year olds wear pink; 4 and young 5
year olds wear lavender; 5 1/2 and 6 year olds wear light blue. All wear white socks (tights are permitted but not
required). Princes should wear black shorts or sweatpants and a white T-shirt. Families may purchase pink
leather ballet shoes (black for boys) for ballet or black patent leather tap shoes (not sold at Footsteps), or you
may borrow some from our Borrow Bin until you decide about making the investment in the proper footwear. For
hip hop, any clean sneakers will do!

| FDT Company & Pointe Program |
The dancers who study in the Footsteps Dance Theater Company, our pre-professional accelerated learning &
performing program, have a busy summer of dance. We hold auditions in May for the next season's company and
spend the summer learning the coming year's competition choreography and keeping up with ballet technique
and conditioning.
Dancers who desire to remain in our Pointe Program next fall are required to take a minimum of 3 weeks of ballet
and pointe over the summer to maintain their strength and technique. Pearl dancers should continue in the Pearl
level until personally promoted by our staff; Pearl meets 2x/week for 30 min (counts as 1 60-min class when
figuring summer tuition). All others should take Pointe Technique & Strengthening, which meets 1x/week for 45
min.
If you are an experienced dancer and you're interested in our Company and/or Pointe programs, don't fret--it's

short summer session. Dancers who have never studied tap, jazz, hip hop, or ballet can get a crash course
in the basics from scratch in our Intro Seminars. Intro Seminars are required for dancers with no prior
experience to join our Beginner levels in the fall; Kiddos who have graduated from our fall Genesis 5/6 ballet or
tap classes must also take Intro Seminars before advancing--summer is a great time to check that off the to-do
list!
Summer Intro dancers can slip right into Beginner classes after one of our 2 convenient Intro Seminar options:
